Woodland Hills Rock Chippers, Inc.

About our Organization

We were first organized as a hobby interest club in January 1961 by a small group of lapidary enthusiasts. In August of 1996 we became a non-profit, educational, public benefit corporation in California registered as a 501(c)(3) entity with the IRS.

Our organization consists of elected officers, a board of directors and the group membership.

We are a family oriented group with activities that include school-age youngsters, teens and adults.

Our "Little Chippers" are the youth program participants. We follow the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies' sponsored program "Future Rockhounds of America" for young people.

We are a member of the California Federation of Mineralogical Societies and affiliated with the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies.
